Cleaning the slate, the year is changing.

Well, another year has passed by us in our short life. A lot has changed, but one thing remains the same. We're still chugging away at our new record. I figured I'd keep you kids posted, well those of you that actually keep tabs on what we're doing. That's probably not a lot of you.... oh well!

In other news, we are gearing up for a little west coast run with the black/death metallers who go by the name of BOOK OF BLACK EARTH. Supreme blasphemy at it's finest. Here's a flyer equipped with tour dates for this little endeavor.

This is DEFINITELY THE LAST tour for our second record, "The Nature Of Betrayal."
We'll have some merch, maybe a new shirt design, we haven't decided yet.
But scope out the dates, promote the show. Help us out.

In time.

For the true and passionate lovers of music.

That's such a great Shai Hulud song. Well, I mean, Shai Hulud is probably one of the best bands to ever exist, but that's neither here nor there. On to the news about TFP........

-Album-
In this "blog" you will find information pertaining to our record that is currently in the works. The title I have been kicking around for this 3rd record is "Wounds." I'm not sure how you people will react to this, but, it's not really bothering me. I feel that this title sums up the lyrical content to a T. Which is what I am excited about. We are finishing songs, playing them live and fine tuning what will be the 3rd installment in the Funeral Pyre career of metal. It's been a long time already, to think that we're already on our 3rd record!? Nobody would have ever guessed we'd be here. I mean, we're not popular or anything, but hey, I like to think that we've accomplished a lot! If you have heard any of the new songs live, I'd really enjoy if you could give us some feedback about what you thought of them. These songs will be different then "The Nature Of Betrayal" but yet the same..... It's a big cycle we go through, you hear the same music, but it sounds different. How does that work? I'm not quite sure, but you will find out in 2008.

-Merch-
We still have a bunch of merch for sale. So help us pay off some bills by supporting. We'll also be redesigning our little myspace webshop here in the near future. Once I get my shit together. So look for a hoodie design up there etc. Should be rad.

-Shows-
We'll be playing very select amounts of shows until the new year. But in January, we will be doing 9 shows with Book Of Black Earth from Seattle. So you can keep checking back for the dates on that. After that, we'll be recording the new record. So please do not ask us to play any shows for a while. We need a break. Just keep checking back for the dates in January.

Other than that, we'll be laying low and working a bit. You might see us at some shows or parties, or whatever. So if you do, don't be a schmuck, come up and say hi!

Until then....
Worship satan.

Tour - Half Way Point

With the tour starting on a Saturday, we figured we could get this tour off to a great start. Soledad is a always amazing, so we set up and play one of our finest shows. The kids were amazing. Apiary destroyed the stage. Mayhem ensued.

So we head up to Oregon for some rainy and cold weather, but some amazing scenery and great people. Eugene, Portland, and up in Washington with Seattle and Spokane. Great shows all the way around. The Pacific Northwest is an amazing experience and we'll definitely be coming back.

Now, we start the second half of the tour. Tonight, with Downey, CA at the Epic Lounge. There are definitely a lot more experiences awaiting as we start this second leg. So if you're in Colorado, New Mexico, Texas and finally San Diego, then come on out to these last shows.

Come on out, we'd love to have you.

Just launched, new blog.

Well here we have a new chapter for the F Pyre, now, we will be keeping you (those of you who care enough to check this thing) up to date on the haps with us. We don't like using myspace, so essentially, this will become our "Homepage" per se'. So, let's give a warm welcome to thefuneralpyre66.blogspot.com as this is a new chapter in our already undesirable career.

Here's some news for you - 10/3/2007
- We leave for tour on Friday, October 5th with one of the best bands out currently, Apiary. We are so excited to leave with them again it really cannot be explained by words. So, go check them out (www.myspace.com/apiary)

- This week, we spent a few nights with the almighty, Light This City. They were/are on tour with Edguy, so we went to hang out and show our support for one of the best bands in the world, not to mention the best people in the world. www.myspace.com/lightthiscity

- In other news, we'll be receiving some brand new hoodies for you kids to buy. Those will be available on the webshop (myspace shop) once we return home from this trek.

- Lastly, we'll be recording a new album in January. Once we return home from tour, I will announce an album title. We will also be doing daily updates from the road.

Hell Awaits,
The Funeral Pyre
